# GitHerald fictional source-run capture — review only

These ten 1060×515 original JPEGs came from the **actual unmodified GitHerald app** running locally at source `5f65a80`. A disposable SQLite database and synthetic session supplied one fictional repository and one hand-authored generation. The dummy session token is not a GitHub credential. No GitHub OAuth, GitHub API, LLM generation, or hosted app was exercised.

Each light/dark pair shows the real app UI at a source-run boundary:

| Pair | Visible state |
| --- | --- |
| `dashboard` | Fictional connected repository and draft generation |
| `review` | Draft review with synthetic source identities expanded |
| `draft` | Hand-authored changelog body and actual export controls |
| `published` | Real publish button result after clicking it in the local app |
| `public` | Actual local public changelog route after publication |

The published row was created by the visible **Publish changelog** action against this disposable database, not preseeded. `evidence/seed.py` records the original fictional seed. Its September 25 `connectedAt` and `createdAt` values are invented display dates; the latter falls after the actual capture and is not an observed generation time. `evidence/capture-evidence.json` records source commit, capture method, per-shot original receiver-write UTC times, exact dimensions, hashes, routes, and the observed publication transition. The receiver-write times are not later package-copy mtimes or claimed sensor exposure times. `asset-manifest.json` checks the bytes of every image and receipt. The receiver stored CUA `getScreenshot()` output with its actual JPEG encoding and `.jpg` extension.

The ten original images and their corrected time provenance passed independent read-only review at `0e5de2d`. `poster-study-{light,dark}.png` is a separate **diagnostic poster study** composed by `evidence/make-poster.py` from the exact published-status and local-public JPEGs. Its 1600×900 pair and 384×216 thumbnails keep the fictional fixture and no-provider boundary visible. The UI crop is source pixels, while typography, framing, arrow, and annotations are hand-authored presentation elements. The poster itself still requires independent visual/truth review before publication.

These assets have not been merged to media main, hosted, or linked from a changelog. Motion footage, Cartesia narration, Remotion animation, timed captions, and a final narrated film remain open. The original 1060×515 browser viewport limits reuse as a full-resolution app film; no OAuth or AI generation is implied.
